A Colourful Idea with Real Impact.
The Lids Legacy began with a simple mission: collect plastic lids from the Jolimont community and keep them out of landfill. But it didn’t stop there. Thanks to local makers Ylenia and Gareth Nealon — and the brilliant recycled peg and carabiner initiative — we’ve already saved 3.7kg of plastic, or around 1,561 lids.
Those lids have been transformed into clever, purposeful gifts like carabiners, pegs, spinners, and more — with 100% of proceeds going toward the Joli Green courtyard transformation. It’s sustainability in action — and we’re only just getting started.
